Fishing in Troubled Waters

In 1974, there was 'The indo-Lanka Maritime Boundary Agreement' which defined the terms of who can fish where.

This is not an issue between working-class fishermen on both ends (one side is being shot down by the Sri Lankan navy and the other can't put food on their tables).

While India is ignoring this issue as a local Tamil Nadu issue & Sri Lankan government is also doing the same, we must look into who is responsible - business owners who are running this and employing fishermen.  Why are their lives expendable?

Local politicians should not pit Tamils against Tamils but should work on getting the attention of both sides of the government to respect the fishing boundaries (and the lives of many).

If a potential solution cannot be reached by Indian @narendramodi and SL @GotabayaR governments, then they should seek advice from @UN or international maritime experts. Hoping, in the best of Tamils welfare @mkstalin will push the agenda forward!
